How to connect your domain

You keep ownership of your domain. We only need permission to point it at your new website.

Before you start

• Find the account where you bought the domain, for example GoDaddy, Squarespace, Google Domains, or Namecheap.
• Make sure you can log in and reach the DNS settings.
• Tell us if email runs on the same domain so we protect your MX records.

Steps

• Open your domain registrar and go to DNS settings.
• Add or update the A record and CNAME we send you.
• Save the changes and wait for propagation, usually under an hour.
• We confirm the secure certificate once it resolves.

Transferring instead

If you would rather move the domain to a new registrar, unlock it, request the authorization code, and send it to us. Transfers can take up to seven days.
